I started my fitness journey after repeatedly getting injured while training for marathons. I quickly saw huge improvements in my running, I became stronger overall and was no longer getting the constant injuries. Fitness became a new passion for me, I loved the challenge, a new way to push myself and see what I was capable of while never getting bored. I played sports in high school including soccer, track, and cross country. I have run 5 marathons, including Boston, 15 ultra marathons, and in the CrossFit Games, I finished 52nd in the world during the 2015 Games Masters qualifiers.
As a coach, I love to encourage and see athletes exceed their own expectations, doing more than they thought possible, and seeing how their accomplishments increase their self-confidence. Fitness has greatly improved my life and I want to be able to share that with others. Everyone in the gym might have different goals. Whether training for competitions or just wanting to stay healthy and active for life, we are all there supporting and helping each other reach those goals. It's awesome to play a role in each member's journey.
